I need help finding some movies that are about seizures/epilepsy. Or ones that have scenes where someone has a seizure. What I want to do (aside from adding some movies to my watch list) is compile the scenes with the seizures into a video that describes what the media is doing wrong as far a portraying the seizure, the first aid, the postical effects and the general things that would be misleading.

If you could let me know what movies you have seen that contain someone having a seizure or about seizures, that would be awesome. Also if its in a TV show, if you know the episode name or what season its in, that helps too. Or just describe the general situation so I can find out that information myself.

Thanks.

Lots of episodes of House. I'll try and get some specifics for you. There were one or two where the seizures were partials rather than tonic-clonics, which is unusual for tv.

In this episode of House, a character has a seizure (though not from epilepsy). But it has the whole jamming something the mouth thing :( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damned_If_You_Do

In this episode http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Painless_(House the patient has an unusual form of epilepsy, but they do mention that his abnormal brain firings are too deep to show up on an EEG.

Grey's Anatomy: Episode 5.9 "In the Midnight Hour" (nocturnal epilepsy)

Good info here about epilepsy on TV: http://www.theage.com.au/lifestyle/wellbeing/tv-medical-malpractice-20100215-o0eq.html

In Garden State Natalie Portman plays a someone with epilepsy. I saw it when it came out in 2004, before I had any experience with E myself, so I don't remember exactly how it's portrayed, but I remember Portman's character was very sympathetic and likable. I don't remember any scenes with actual seizures, but I remember it shows some of the difficulties people with E face: overprotective parents, not being able to drive, having to wear a helmet..., but epilepsy is not the main subject of the film.

In the tv series Dark Angel (season one) the main character has seizures often. I'm pretty sure its in the first episode (pilot) and then in many more episodes. They didn't research it well though, and its not described as epilepsy in the storyline.
