600mg of Lyrica/Pregabalin

hi all, hope you are all keeping well

not posted on here in a while, so here goes,,,,,,,,,,,,,

ive been taking 300mg of lyrica/pregabalin for around about 6 months. its certainly been a great help so far as im lucky not to have had any major seizures during that time.

today however, i went to see my neurologist and i said that although nothing major has happened, i did however have episodes where i felt like i may of had blackouts or something similar.

she has recommended i up the dosage to 450mg for a week (150mg in morning and 300mg at night)

then after that week 300mg morning & 300mg at night.

since i got home ive googling this (as one does ) and as far as i can see its the maximum dosage prescribed.

i take the med for epilepsy and GAD.

im just a wee bit anxious about taking that amount & wondered if anyone else is on 600mg (or even more) and how you feel, side effects etc.

Hi LCA --

Maybe you could see how you feel at the interim dose -- if you feel better, then there may be no need to go all the way up to 600mg.
