About progressive myoclonic epilepsyCan someone please explain PME to me as I am sure I am unnecessarily freaking myself out with confusing information i've come across on the internet. I am having myoclonic twitches/jerking movements and whilst I believe I had occasions when I was younger that this had happened it was not regular as it has been of late. I'm so confused and i'm scared because the prognosis is apparentally not good for PME. |

| You should really talk to your neurologist about it as he would be in the best position to diagnose you with it or not. I will say that at one time, Stacy exhibited a seizure pattern that was very much in line with PME. Her patterns have changed many times though. I'm not sold on the idea that epilepsy falls into categories like PME permanently. I believe that CBT/Neurobehavioral therapy and/or EEG neurofeedback can help retrain/normalize brain function.
