anyone switch from depakote to depakote er


Tripp is taking the delayed depakote and has to take it 3 times a day. I want the doctor to switch him to depakote er. How do they go about switching him?

The doctor should give you instructions on how to make the switch.

The dr should write out a schedule on how to change them. Normally as your starting to take the new one, you slowly decrease the other one. Most times changing meds takes over a month to fully switch
