around others during a seizure

do you normally ask others what happened during your seizures?
do you expect others to be able to have an idea, especially those knowing you have epilepsy?

Alot of my auras/ partial seizures seem to be when I'm on my own so in that case I just go on what I remember.

But my Mum & my boss at one of the places I volunteer at have both seen me take quite a few partials, so they usually tell me if they think I had a seizure. I sometimes deny it at 1st then realise maybe I did have a seizure because I nearly always have an aura 1st so eventually ask them what happen during the seizure so I can write it down for my records.

Sometimes I want them to tell me. Sometimes it makes me cringe with embarrassment but we try to laugh because what else can you do? Usually they want to tell me, I think because they feel you deserve to know, or that they should be able to share that with you. Sometimes I want to know why my body is such a mess or how I got underneath the table or if I hit somebody. It never really stops being weird, hearing the things you do when you are not in control of yourself. I freeze, turn my head to my right, and begin trying to jab myself in the eye, frequently enough for it to be a distinct pattern. That is a very strange things to listen to somebody tell you about.

With partials, especially if they are brief, I will also argue about whether I had one or not - other people can lose concentration - but you lose your train of thought for a second and it must be a seizure, right? But it has happened so frequently I have just stopped arguing for the most part.

I always ask for two reasons, because I want to know and because I want to beable to tell my neurologist what I did.

Alot of my seizures I'll just stare into space, maybe try to talk or things like that. With others I'll actually do things. I also want to know how long they lasted. This way I'll beable to tell my neurologist as much info about the seizure that I had so that he can determine how bad it was.
