First i must apologize if this topic has already been discussed.

Can anybody lead me in the right direction to car insurance companies where i can get the cheapest premiums? Is there any who specialize in people with epilepsy? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

hi ammeread, welcome!

You needn't mention your epilepsy to your car insurance agent. People with epilepsy don't have driving records any better or worse than the general population, so your diagnosis is irrelevant to the cost of your premiums. (Besides, it's private medical info). I don't know what insurance companies are available in your state or how they are regulated, but it should be easy to comparison shop. Companies offer different kinds of discounts, so make sure to ask about ALL the options. Discounts can be based on customer loyalty, low mileage, if you have multiple plans with the company, etc. Some big companies are:

Progressive:

Geico:

There may be smaller local companies in your state, but these can give you some idea of the numbers and variables.

I have geico-me,my boyfriend and my 20 yr old son with 4 paid off vehicles is 133 a month for ten months a year. But Im sure there are different factors in your situation, but we checked everybody since we had a teenage boy at the time and the premiums dont drop til he is 25 even though he is clean but he is on deans list.Make sure you tell them if you drive less than 50 miles a week also.
