Cards for someone getting a VEEG

I know a person who is going in for a video EEG monday. She'll have no visitors, having lost all family and all but one RL friend due to the epilepsy - a friendship that has become very strained due to the sideffects of the epilepsy medication.

Her family is not only refusing to help her with anything - they say they will help her, then began ignoring her/or switch their mind the moment its time for what them to do what they promised to. IE she almost had to cancel this video EEG because her siblings began ignoring all attempts at contact as soon as she tried to make definate plans to transport her cat for them to watch over the next 2 weeks (She wouldn't have the cat if someone was willing to take him in as she can't give him the attention he needs now, but just like her, no one is willing to provide him with a home)

Last year she had no invitation to Thanksgiving or Christmas events (though her family made sure to call her afterward and tell her about the fun they had that she wasn't invited too) and her birthday was also completely ignored by everyone (her mother called the week after and told her to call a distant relative to wish him a happy birthday because that was "the right thing to do on someones birthday") - these holidays were the only things she had to look forward to all year because of the epilepsy being so dehabilitating that walking for more than a few minutes often meant needing a rest before she could return to where she began walking. She's been harassed for being on medicaid - "stealing taxpayers dollars" even though she's worked at least 2 jobs simoultaneously, and sometimes 3 for most of the past 9 years, while many of the harassers were living off their parents money/having their tuition paid for by family, and some are even stay-at-home spouses, been told by numerous family who have spare bedrooms in their house that she should look into a homeless shelter since she's having trouble with making rent payments, and has attempted suicide this year because it was looking like living in a homeless shelter was going to be her only option - she already gets harassed because she access to lifesaving medicine and food, she's doesn't want to stick around just to get harassed even more than she currently is for no other reason than she has a roof over her head at night, that disappears during the day.

Shes staying at a hospital that allows people to send free e-cards to patients. If you'd like to send her one so the stay isn't so lonely and depressing for her, send me a message for the details

Tell your friend that even someone in England is wishing her well and hoping that evrything improves for her...when she's done with her video EEG, direct her here! Family is as family does, and she is the better person. My family are all useless about my E and don't want to talk about it or get involved, my partners left me because of it, and all but one of my friends have disappeared. She has you, and you understand. Even one person being there for you when you feel like that can be a beacon shining in the dark. Wish her all the best from Loudmouth!

I wish her the best in everything. Please let her know that my twin and I, and my friend hope things get better and that she has a family here. Please let her know to come here when she gets a chance and if its possible.
Let her know of public services, departments of health, vocational rehabilitation offices for her state or city.
Take care,
Crystal, Danielle and Rachel
