A Couple Of Things Folks?

Hi There All

I'm up to typing up chapter 5 of my book, and it's all about ancient myths and legends and ways to treat epilepsy over the years, anyone got anything they would like to add to the already crazy list I have. some of the old cures and remedies you would not believe!
Also, I see my proff on 18th September to discuss my recently added Zonisamide/Zonegran to Keppra and Trileptal, great stuff, no seizures, no auras, no sleepless nights nothing, I feel like a different woman!!! Oh boy, you can say that again, I was hoping for the one side effect from Zonegran that every middle aged woman longs for, loss of appetite, but no, not that lucky, I am instead a bad tempered, moody, seething crazy wreck sometimes, I'm sure I could strangle someone when I'm in rage mode, also I could burst into tears at the drop of a hat, I know it's all to do with my missing "Hippowotsit" as I call it, I also get the letters of words all muddled up when I'm typing, and it's doing my nut in!!!!!!!! I'm wondering if I still have the ability to love, to care, to feel, there you go, it's all coming out now............better go, hope you can let me know what you think, I probably sound like I'm going bonkers, but if someone even looks at me the wrong way,I could knock their head off!!! I actually avoid situations like that, and last week, some kids where throwing litter, I went and confronted them, and kept thinking calm down woman, but they were sure behaved after I left. I just wish I could be calm, I'm taking it out on my aerobic stepper and weights at the moment in case we get back to Egypt in October.
I hope you are well, and hi to anyone who knows me and hasn't heard from me in a while, I will get my book published, only five chapters left to type!!!

Lol

Lainey! I was just thinking about you the other day. I am so glad the book is coming along well. So glad you are doing well on the new drugs! I have been seizure free since Oct 7th and every day I am amazed how great I can feel!
I am with you on the weight loss thing...of course I am one of the ones that gain in on Keppra!

Hi Elaine,

Good to hear from you again! I'm glad to you're seizure free, sorry about those raging side effects. Wish I could say I was seizure free after my left temporal lobectomy and numerous medication trial and error. I've felt like I went bonkers a few times, too, finding the right words, losing my train of thought, and having terrible mood swings.

Can't wait to hear about your new book when you're finished!

Hi Hun

Great to hear from you, Good (in a way) to hear that you understand my mood swings, I have just been through the Menopause too, so I guess that has to take some responsibility eh? I just sometimes think that I am never again going to experience any other emotion other than anger, of course I do still laugh, and I'm please to say that I still have my crazy sense of humour, God, if I ever lost that I would go bonkers! but it's strange, as we I get older, being a really deep thinker, I sort of look at myself from the outside and I analyse everything I do and say, I sometimes wish I wasn't such a deep thinker, but then I guess I wouldn't be me if I wasn't.
I'm sorry to hear that your seizures are not under control, remind if you don't mind, which anti-epileptic drug's you are on? I thank the day the professor prescribed the Trileptal?Oxcarbazepine to me as I have never had an aura since, fantastic, I wish I could wave a wand for you!
Let me know what you take and how things are going, and we'll catch up again soon? Great to hear back from you! It's gonna rain here all day tomorrow, so I am going to finish Chapter six, I am slowly getting there!

Lainey,

I am so glad you are feeling better!

And I'm glad the book is coming along. I'm hoping you spend significant time on exorcism and confinement to mental institutions (both still done worldwide). Partaking of gladiators' blood or the grated skull of the opposite sex are gorey ones. So are drinking water from a woman's skull, drinking blood drawn from your left foot, drilling holes in people's heads and electroshock therapy. This is an interesting book.
