I have had deja vu a couple of times...the strangest one was thinking that I remembered I saw a house we were driving by in a dream before and then my head slumped forwards and I had my little partial and then it made sense.

The jamais vu I have had 3 times and it is so scary! Once, before I was acknowledged as having seizures I was driving and suddenly didn't know where I was! At that time I would just have a facial grimace, weakness and sleepiness so it's not as bad as it sounds. But they REALLY should have took my license away a long time ago. On the plus side, I did make it home that day.
Another time I was the passenger in a car and suddenly thought, where am I and I don't think I've EVER seen that house before but we were on the street we live on.
Another time I was at my work where I have worked for 12 years and I was standing in front of the bathroom and I kept on turning around and looking around to just figure out where the heck I was.

Deja vu is just a hey, isn't that odd? Where jamais vu is what the hell? So I definately like deja vu better.

I think I would vote for deja vu.

I think I would vote for deja vu.

Never had deja vu, or not more than what I would suspect is normal.

But I had never heard of jamais vu. I've certainly had moments of brief disorientation, but I don't know how to tell the difference between that, jamais vu, and normal daydreaming.

Overall, I would have to say deja vu would be better. Jamais vu does seem frightening.

Newsbot: I have found the difference between daydreaming and jamais vu is that I am fully alert before it occurs. It's an all of a sudden, what the heck? Where am I? And then the partial seizure. The deja vu is sometimes like is this a real deja vu or am I about to have a seizure? The deja vu is not accompanied by fear with me anyways. I should say, not yet. It does sorta feel daydreamy.
Is your disorientation post ictal or just before you seize?

people around me can fake déjà vu, they can't fake jamais vu unless they have a neural/chemical implant of some sort to erase my memory.

but people around can reenact scenarios precisely. and when they happen there is no logical reason immediate so I can tend to dwell on why they would want to, unless I recognize it clearly from before. but it's never entirely clear, I guess because of time elapsed.

for example the conversation last night about the Saudi king and Lawrence of Arabia. The world is entirely banal. There is no differentiation between anything. I don't know why they keep doing it to me. they obviously want me around to keep doing it.

I had a life time of Deja Vu and kinda miss them never had jamais vu but my daughter has and they're very fightening. She usually climbs into bed with me after.

It's definitely post-ictal, which is normal? I think, anyway.

The jamais vu I've had isn't associated with seizures, but it could be normal, too.

I've never quite had jamais vu that I know of. I've definitely had powerful deja vu experiences.

I experenced jamais vu right before my last TC. At that time it wasn't frightening, just odd and curious. However now should I have ANY jamais vu, I immediately associate it with seizures and would be scared half to death.
Deja vu episodes come from dreams and can be kind of freaky.

I don't like either, just like I'm sure the rest of you all don't, but if I have to chose I would perfer deja vu.

Haven't had Jamais vu before but I imagine it would be upsetting. I recall the confusion after one particular TC. I could not remember what day it was when the paramedics asked and I became quite upset. I assume Jamais vu would evoke the same kind of feelings.

I would take a deja-vu over a jamais-vu everyday and twice on Tuesday!

I would have to say my deja-vu experiences are to intense for anyone to fake create around me. Everything around me from the air blowing out the vents, the person typing 10 cubes away to the exact body language is pure perfection of a prior event. It takes about 3 seconds to distinguish the difference but much longer to end it. If I don't try to disrupt the experience it can lost for over a minute.
