Dental Work while Breastfeeding? Can anyone advise me on this? Is this a legitimate concern? If so, what chemicals should I avoid at the dentist's office? I will be fixing a failed root canal and possibly be having a tooth or two removed. |

| You could always use a breast-pump to stock up on milk? That way you can feed him your pure milk during the time you feel like your milk supply might be tainted (I use the word 'tainted' very hesitantly- I'm having "a word-finding moment" and can't seem to grasp the less severe word I want). Personally I think he would be fine without that extra step-I have had intractable epilepsy for 14 years (I'm 22) and never saw a difference in seizure activity around/after dentist visits- but if you are really concerned this might pose a problem, I'd just call in and ask his neurologist. Best of luck and a speedy recovery : )
