Depersonalization/derealization

I was just diagnosed with a Dissociative Disorder (not otherwise specified). My psychiatrist and psychologistare both aware of my epilepsy and still diagnosed me. My question is, if my epilepsy is controlled, would I still have the depersonalization/derealization symptoms? Thanks for any info!

Steph
