Doctor/Insurance

I had health insurance my entire life. A couple months ago I lost it. How do you go about getting a doctor without health insurance?

This is becoming an increasing problem. Soon you might have a public health insurance, which I have not heard is a good solution, but it would give you something to work with. I am not sure of your financial situation, but you can always pay out of pocket for your doctors visits. Some doctors lower their rates, if you are paying the day of your appointment. You also might discuss this with your doctor and see what his/her suggestions are.

Prior to having a doctor in this area when we moved here, We went to a recommended clinic. It was really nice, and a walk in. At the time it was only $35 a visit. I am sure testing was much more, but just for prescription refills it would be adequate. Not sure if there is anything like that in your area.

It definitely is a national problem

Good Luck

My son was without insurance between the time he graduated college until he found a job. He got sick and had to go to the doctor during that time and I found out that a lot of doctors will give you a big discount if you don't have insurance. I think my son got 50% discount on the dr 's cost
