i dreamed last night that i was watching a movie with my dream guy and i started seizing, i could not control my body, but i was shaking uncontrolably and i could hear him talking and feel him rubbing my side.

Yeah I've dreamed that I'm having a seizure, although not lately. They're mostly anxiety dreams. In my dream I "wake up" and realize that I'm having a seizure or just had one.

I have dreamed more about auras (which are a type of seizure), but not actual tonic-clonics. I guess I would say it is more about the stress or fear of going into a seizure that I dream about. Not often.

I did have a complex partial seizure while on an orientation and mobility route- specialized instruction for the blind. Anyway- my instructor actually told me I was acting funny before hand. I had a seizure a little while after.
But ever since then the parts I remember, such as her getting me into the car, driving home, feeling sick and tired- I actually dream about it.
I've also had a dream that it turned into a grandmal seizure- which would really suck if it happened in real life.

I did have nightmares about my CPs turning into GMs after my neuro told me they could. Its never actually happened and I am thankful for it.

Hi All,

Yes, I have - a few times. Very awful dreams they are. Hate them!!! The only good thing about them is they are only dreams and not the real thing - the seizure!!!

Luckily I haven't had such dreams for quite a while. Have forgetten when my last such dream was. Hoping I never have any like that again!!! However, I still have seizures - fair good control - the last one was in early December.

Yeah I have had a few where I dream that I am seizing, and then lots where other people around me are having Tonic Clonics.

We talked about this before in this thread so you might be able to have a bit more insight here

I've had several dreams last nite and this morning bout me having seizures. My first dream I was working where the Backstreet Boys were going to perform and I had started seizing and they were round me talking. Then I had a different one where I'm at home wit my family and it happens again and I went to the store wit my auntie and I start to talk weird and then I have a seizure. The dream from this morning I was on my kids bus cuz my son was action up so I go on the bus straighten it out and start seizing again. Am I goin crazy?

I dream that I'm having seizure's and in the dream there normally repeat seizures like I have normally and then waking up after I fell the same as I do after having a seizure

When I was on Lyrica I had night seizures.

I would be in a deep sleep. It seemed like I was having an out of body experience. During the dream I saw family members talking to me. Then suddenly I would have a bad seizure, with stroke like results. I then seen my family crying as they looked at what the seizure had done to me. It looked like half my face was drooping down, like half my face collapsed. It was at that point I would start convulsing badly. I would wake up completely shaking all over. After those episodes I couldn't get back to sleep for several hours. Those episodes happened at least 2 or 3 times. I got Lyrica as soon as possible. Haven't experienced those dreams since.

That was the only times I ever "seen myself" have seizures. I don't usually scare easily, but that scared the crap out of me.

I have had dreams about seizures or strokes since about the time I first actually had a stroke (undiagnosed for many years because of refusal to test or misdiagnosed, etc.) then this dream/nightmare evolved into dreams about having seizures about the time I started having seizures. (same area as scar tissue from stroke, ie focal seizures that sometimes generalize). It usually consists of me having a seizure and/or going unconscious while doctors are around me talking about or to me telling me I am faking it but in the mean time I'm watching this scene, as if a sort of out of body experience, but usually either unconscious or unable to move or totally seizing (tonic clonic), and totally unable to respond. I have been so afraid of doctors for several years I know where this is coming from, but it is still a horrible feeling.

in real life, I have had stroke like symptoms of drooping face, etc. , and was told by more than one doctor can be caused by seizures as well as strokes.

I had a dream i had a seizure once and when i woke up i had the biggest headache ever and i felt sick ,dizzy and confused and when i tryed to walk i was so wobbely but i stil wont know if i realy did have a seizure to this day :(

I've had auras in my dreams. They feel the same as the ones I have awake. I don't know if they are real or just my brain processing/remembering my day. :ponder:

I have had them the odd time, but like Nakamova I suspect they are anxiety dreams - being anxious about having a seizure. I know they are not a true seizure because I do not wake up exhausted and worn out like I do if I have a real seizure at night.

just last night, i dreamt I was with my bf and was about to go into a seizure then when I woke up (in the dream) i was with some old friends and he never existed, I had dreamt him up. then i really woke up, he does exist and it's been stressin me out all day. This was the first time I ever dreamt of going into or having a seizure.
