This should help get the docs on board with a neurological diagnosis.
Are you recording times of day that these happen as well?

No I haven't but i could. I'll just have to make a note of the time once I can get up.

What is your opinion nak does it seem neurological to you or psycological? anyone else feel free to answer that question.

I am taking lexapro 20mg, enalapril 10mg, nortripiline 10 mg. also two inhalents of advair each day. Also seeing a psych

You shoudl also include when you take which meds. Even being off by a half hour can cause problems, so keeping track of it is a good idea.

I looked at seizure tracker, and it looks like a great program -- I think you'd benefit from it. I haven't used it yet, because I don't often get times recorded, because it's hard for nightfighter to keep track of everything. His episodes happen so often that by the time he's ready to record something, he's onto the next one and forgets.

It's hard to tell if it's neurological or psychological -- even the so-called experts have a hard time. Me, I'm leaning toward neurological, because so many of your spells are very similar to nightfighter's spells.

well just from the quick read over, in my opinion, you may be having both psychogenic non-epileptic seizures and E seizures. you have alot of mental and emotional responses at "random" *until we find a trigger that is* and that could be psychogenic non-epileptic seizures kicking in. its entirely possible for people to have both. and i'm sure that 100% of people with E have had at least one. it would be silly for that to not occur. But also emotional responses and mental response could be forms of temporal lobe seizures.

the other ones sound like definite E to me.

My psych is going to do a personality test on me on the 27th. She wants to see if I have the personality type that things would accur to my body from holding things in. Did that make any since?

Rae What seems like it is psychogenic non-epileptic seizures and what seems like E to you? Does anybody know what you do for psychogenic non-epileptic seizures ?

occb I take my meds at 9 or 9:30 everynight. Advair in the morning at 6:15

Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures are often considered a from of PTSD, so the treatment often involves therapy and counseling.

I keep a log similar to yours and it has helped me and my neurologist alot.

I have huge memory problems so I can't just write down "I had a sez today". I try to keep it as detailed as I can as to what I was doing at the time and what happened when I was having it.

Another thing that I put into mine is the time that I had it. For example 8 am or 7 pm. This may help him know if there may be only a specific time that you have them. I will have mine at any time.

It sounds like you are really only having them when you are asleep, but if you do know how long it lasted write this down too.

These are all the questions he asks me when I go in for a visit so I have them right there and ready for him.

Some of the medication you mention are sedatives. You might ask the doctor if any of those could be causing your "spells" which could really be a side-effect possibly.
It could be a neurological condition within your muscles or nerves- sometimes people with Fibromyalgia get sensations like that. I was diagnosed with it myself- but don't consider myself to have it, the full condition. I was born three months early and have CNS troubles from it.

Write down the times- just to see if there are any patterns with your spells and time of day.
Do you eat pretty well?
Do you take naps at all?
Have you had a sleep study done?

You might have a form of sleep apnea where you are sleeping but then get woken up a lot..
The sleep study would show any troubles.

I hope you get well soon,
Crystal

I have had spells since I was 10 years old. I actually was dxed with E as a child. My parents didn't believe the docs and I stopped having spells for about 5 years. I have had a sleep study done it was normal except that I body rocked in stage one sleep. Yes I do take naps. I have very little appetite so I dont eat that much.My sister has Fibromyalgia.
