My head is exploding. Took my mother to Vegas, we were on the 17th floor of our hotel. Up and down for 2 days. Since coming home, I am light headed, cannot make it stop. I feel like I will never ride another elevator, has this happened to anyone else? Whatever I do, I feel like I am floating up and down. Also, am on Vimpat and I feel like I am taking poison. My side effects are worse daily. Is this what my life will be now? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Hi TeeJay
I am sensitive to motion, I have the same reaction with going up in elevators but also flying or riding in boats. Initially it was thought to be an inner ear problem but it can be related to epilepsy. It could be the motion setting off seizures. My seizures presented as dizzy spells. Maybe it could also be the medication, if it's something you haven't noticed before.
My side effects have settled over time, so I hope they do for you too.

thanks so much! I had also flown before the elevator thing so I am sure you are correct. I hate the Vimpat med he's got me on and am going off of it and on dilantin. It's all just a big gamble isn't it? Again, thanks for replying.
