I removed the posts. I had a horrible experience with my long EEG. I didn't get to stay but one day. There was so kind of issue with my heart and I got tossed out. They tried to admit me in the cardio unit but they too didnt want me. I was told to follow up with cardio doctors regarding what ever issue they saw on EKG. That I had no episodes/seizure activity during the 24hour stay. I didnt go to hospital because of my heart, I went because of seizures. They dont believe Im experiencing simple partial/complex anything. I told them that my chest was fine and they didnt believe that either. NO win situation. So in added frustration, I removed my post not wanting to waste anyones time. Thank you for at least inquiring if you at least missed something. But no, you didn't miss anything.

Hang in there, Mae Dae! Maybe the docs just want to rule out heart issues before they reconsider seizures(?) I know that some types of syncope can resemble seizures, but beyond that I don't much about the connection between heart issues and seizures. During the 24 hours you were having the VEEG done, you say you had no seizures . . . 24 hours is not a very long time, so maybe after the heart issues are settled they will reattempt. Keep on top of your specialists and make sure they don't leave you in the dark regarding their plans for further investigations, both in terms of your heart and for further seizure investigation. Good luck, and keep us posted. You're wasting anyone's time!!

So sorry, MaeDae - typo - I was rereading my post. I meant to say you're NOT wasting anybody's time!! :paperbag::paperbag::paperbag: So sorry!!

I got a letter in mail yesterday from insurance co, turns out that the hospital probably put me out because i was only aproved for 1 day. Now, the EKG, I still haven't gotten the results, but the echo states that I have
*Severe Septal Left Ventricular Hypertrophy? Of couse I am googling it and finding out as much as I can. Doesn't sound good. From what i gather, it means my heart is not contracting normal, there is blood back up (regurgitation) and that it is enlarged. I have to wait til 8/7/14 when I meet my new primary care doctor. I phoned my old cardio doc and requested that he request my records and tell me whats going on. I haven't heard from his office yet and dont think I am. So technically I am starting over with all of my doctors to include neuro, cardio, pych ect... and I knew what you meant. I didnt take it that way. I will keep you/everyone posted. I don't feel so bad now knowing it was insurance and not lack of concern for my health.

Hi, MaeDae
From what you've read, does it sound like this heart condition can produce "episodes" that might resemble the type of seizures you have?
I sure hope your new primary care doctor is a good one, and can help you sort through all the confusing information!

I went back a reread the articles and neither made mention of seizures. I googled LVH and seizures and found only 2 cases where a seizure was involved. One after the seizure and ECG/EKG was done and LVH/RVH was discovered and another case where a fireman died after having an aura, but they declared that his death was not related to the seizure but to the undiagnosed heart disease, like cardiomyopathy/lvh.
