Flouride and the color red

My sons seizure from two weeks ago, was the day after he had his first visit to the dentist, which included a check up, teeth cleaning, flouride treatment. Can flouride cause seizures? He uses baby toothpaste now, no flouride.

The color red. My husbands friend mentioned that this color could cause seizures?? true or false?

Thanks!

Anna

As far as I've checked there is no scientifically proven link between fluoride & epilepsy. I've found various studies on fluoride for various things but seizures were not ever mentioned.

Also, I highly doubt any colour can trigger a seizure unless someone associates that colour with something stressful. In all my years of learning about my seizures colours have never been an issue.

Where was the color red? I've heard red dye, when ingested in juices, candy, etc, can cause problems in kids- especially kids with ADHD or Autism. It might also be true for kids with Epilepsy- could cause seizures.
Do you mean the red was in the flouride treatment?

My husbands friends said it was a visual thing...I had never heard this before, thought it odd, but figured I better ask just incase.

I try to keep my son away from red dyes..So so so hard tho cause his favorite color is red! ugh!

My favourite colour is also red, i wear it an awful lot

As far as i know i've never heard of a certain colour triggering a seizure. I personally have problems with "opposite colours" together though, like red and blue, pink and green (unfortunately the colours they used all over the company site which i have to look at everyday), orange and purple etc when they are used in a certain pattern, and only certain tones of the above colours. This isn't the same for everyone though.
