Good News

i saw my new neurologist today Dr. Steven Wolf. he's great! he gave me an actual diagnosis and everything. he actually looked at me when he spoke to me, didn't stare at his phone the whole time, and told me we are going to try to have this under control. i can't say any of that for my other doctor. im so relieved right now. just to have a name for it and a dr that respects me and talks to me and is not right out rude is really amazing. he told me i have juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. its not like its great to have epilepsy but it sure is great to understand now.

Glad to hear that this new neurologist is more professional and is actually listening to you and has given you a diagnosis. I'm also glad to hear that he listened to your concerns about the problems the Topamax was causing you and has lowered the dose; I hope that the addition of the Keppra helps to keep the seizures under control and lessens some of the side effects of the Topamax.

So, this is after your four-day video EEG? This is great news! I'm very pleased for you that you know what you're dealing with, and you have a doctor who is working with you to improve your life! Wooot!

Cheers
Chel

You found a keeper! I am so happy that you have found some relief. We all like to know that we have been heard and not just another $ sign to the dr. I hope that the Keppra helps you! keep us posted
