Has anyone had Magnesium Injections?

It just sounds interesting.

Somewhere online it said Magnesium injections are better at restoring Magnesium levels in the blood/body than taking it orally. The main reason it sounds interesting of course is because the role Magnesium can play in controlling seizures. I'd be curious if anyone ever got injections and if so, how did it affect their seizure control.
