Has anyone tried generic Topamax?

My insurance just said they will only pay for generic and I ran out of my Topamax too soon to wait for my Dr to fill out the form to tell them that I have to take Brand. Does anyone have any experience with the generic version?

It's about the same. I have taken both. Right now I don't take either one.

some have good and some have bad experiences from what I've read..... Take the generic, but keep track....if you notice ANYTHING not right, then call your doc immediately so that he can write a new prescrip to the pharmacy. And ask if he has a sample or starter pack of the brand name to hold you over.
