Have any coffee/cola drinkers totally quit caffeine?

I have quit drinking Starbuck's drinks for about a week now. I have already noticed that I sleep better. I also don't get as mad or as stressed as easily now. I think it was totally the caffeine. Has anyone ever had it made a difference on their seizures once they quit taking caffeine?

What effects has anyone else noticed once they stopped drinking coffee or cola drinks???

Is sugar involved in any of these drinks?

Yes. But I think it's mostly the Caffeine that matters. Drinks like Gatorade that have sugar but no Caffeine don't seem to have the same effects. At least for me.

I don't see immediate reactions for Rebecca, but if there is the choice to go off "the Plan" too many times, I definitely see it.
Do you think perhaps that it might not necessarily be the "caffeine" but maybe the fact that your body is turning acidic, which causes other chemical reactions in the body?

It is not my idea of fun, to monitor a teen. If it were my choice 100%, I would eliminate caffeine, HFCS, artificial sweeteners, colored dyes, sugar except on a rare occasion, dairy, ...

I found that it made a difference. I used to drink 9 cups of regular coffee a day. Now, I drink a 1/2 cup of decaf. on Sundays. I sleep lots better, and I'm not as irritable...and I think it did help with the seizure control.

I have about 1 cup of coffee most days & only drink pop a couple of times a year. I have noticed that when I have desserts & haven't eaten enough that day my anxiety & stress levels rise & my attention span drops.
