The other day in church my arm jerked back. Luckily my wife wasn't sitting close enough otherwise I might have elbowed her in her ribs. Another time I almost gave her an inadvertent cuff on the back of the head when I had my arm around her. I've gotten a few good looks and I try to remind her that its either the meds or the epilepsy causing the muscle jerks.:e:

The last time I gave my wife a black eye. Mind you she made me pay for it and I did not even mean it.

When my legs jerk at night, I send the poor cat flying off the foot of the bed. She goes downstairs after that to sleep by herself.

I thought this topic might be good for a bit of a chuckle unfortunately at a family member's expense.

At lest it was the bush and not the frying pan she chased me with.

I've inadvertently smacked a few folks over the years while in a seizure. One time, it was when 911 was called and I was later told that I attacked the paramedic. OMG!! How embarrassing! I can honestly say I do NOT remember doing so. Thankfully, the paramedic understood.

During a partial in the middle of the night, I rolled onto my wife, pinned her to the bed, and slapped her in the face. It was a rude awakening for both of us once I came to...

I threw my phone in anger after a seizure at my mom because I called her three times and she kept hanging up on me because I couldn't talk because I was getting ready to have one...she kept assuming that I was down in the bottoms where I work and the reception I bad so she just kept saying.." you must be at work...call me when you get service"....I kept calling her back and she would just say..." I can't understand you..youre breaking up"...I guess by the time they got out here I had already gone through the seizure and I was downstairs sitting on the couch and they were trying to talk to me and I was of course in my "bitch" mode...and I threw my phone at her and said "no body wants to answer their fucking phone"....I normally would never throw an object at my mom....lol....and yes, Zombelina...I have also sent the cat flying a few times myself...lol

oh yes, my son has accidently smacked, kicked and bit us during seizures, always unintentional of cause.

Last night I woke up and was SURE I saw a huge bug crawling onto my husband's pillow. I "see" things in the middle of the night pretty frequently, but usually I have the wherewithal to quietly wait for them to disappear.
This time, I screamed "There's a bug! There's a bug!!!" We both jumped out of bed, he almost passed out from getting up too fast, then we had to do a thorough search of the bed to make sure nothing was there! I felt terrible too because he had gone to sleep saying that his neck was hurting, and the jumping out of bed definitely didn't help.
No doctor has ever been able to tell me why I have these "illusions" at night, or whether or not they are seizure-related. They're good for a laugh though :).

I don't think I've ever hit anyone during a seizure but I am getting a good laugh out of this!

It can be possible to be both. In my situation it's my eyes.

You should get your eyes tested for eye Floaters. They don't hurt, just annoying to have.
The fluid in the back of the eye jells up into small clumps that float around. As they float
around your field of view they appear as shadows. Which can give the appearance of bugs crawling in front of you. The amount of light in a room can intensify the affects. If you do have floaters, get regular eye exams. If the amount of floaters increase a lot, or you vision suffers, get full eye exam.

I don't remember ever hitting anyone during a seizure. But I do know a numerous occasions when I had my CPS I squeeze the heck out of things. Apparently during my CPS I would grip items I'm holding tightly. One time at a store during checkout I squeezed a credit card like it was a tin can. lol

So many memories..

Haha I laughed a little of embarrassment when I read this post because memories started popping in my head of the numerous times I kicked and/or slapped my dogs and friends while I was at school. My dogs gets scared of me for a while everytime it happens.. I'm just glad I never hit a stranger or things could have ended badly. I once threw a pen at a classmate though (it was a 7am college class and I just woke up and it just flew out of my hand across my table) and she was so startled. I apologized and told her I was a "klutz". :embarrassed:

Thanks! I do get black spots in my eyes during the day sometimes. I'll look into it.
The nighttime episodes usually only happen once every couple weeks. But they have been happening almost every night for the last 3 weeks. Kind of weird. Thanks for your help!
