How long does a EEG test take

It's been so long since I had a EEG, I don't remember what how long the test last. I would appreciate any advise/information.

I'm asking because when I ask for a ride I want to be able to tell my friend/husband how long it will be for them.

If it's not an extended one, it last about an hour. The actual test part is pretty quick, but it takes time for the technician to tape on the sensors at the beginning and remove them at the end.

I think it depends on what the doctor wants & what they're looking for, if it's anything specific.

Most of mine were just an hour like Nakamova said but the last one was the whole morning and then I've had a video EEG that lasted the whole weekend.

She said she might want me to wear one for a few days.

She is going to start with this one.

Don't like the thought of wearing one for several days, but I do want her to get the inform. she needs in order to treat me.

When you wore it for the weekend, did you have to do anything special?

I didn't really have to do anything special but I couldn't shower & it got very boring lying in bed with nothing to do.

I would suggest bringing a book or two & maybe a walkman or MP3 player.
