I dont get itI went a saw my neurologist ,ugh,I go in there and say pretty much the same thing i said at the appt before and he says, those dont sound like seizures ,maybe panic attacks or the other kind of seizure I cant spell it, where the appt before he says they are definately seizures. So I shut down couldn't even say anything. i called him when i got home and talked again and he says well i dont know what is going on but stay on the meds. Then he calls back the next day and says again they are definately seizures and moves my appt sooner. |

| If at all possible I think you need a neurologist that knows a bit more about seizure activity. This guy sounds like he is just picking at straws. A bit scary to me.

| How frustrating! I had a similar experience with a different issue (not seizures) but 2 drs were going back and forth as to whether or not it was due to my meds. It went from definitely not to definitely is and I shut down the same way you did. I agree with Robin, it might be time to "shop around" for a new dr. It's hard to have faith in someone when it feels like they aren't listening. |

| It seemed like he didn't even bother to read my chart before i came in to the appt.He called me the next day and said after reveiwing your chart blaa blaa, he made all these changes. There are no more neurologist docs around.even he is 1 hour away. |

| I agree it's time for a new Doc. I was seeing a neurologist here in town, while I really like him he deals with so many issues (A lot of migraine patients). I now see a Epitologist who's in a larger group so they have many people reviewing my chart. You may want to find an Epilepsy center at a hospital, there are many around the country. I keep the guy in town for emergencies and follow up. |
