I heard from my dr's nurse today...

Yesterday I called her to ask her if she had my records from the dr I saw for years before seeing them. She said she would look in my file and see if she found anything. I gave her my phone number and she called me back this morning.

She said after looking at everything in there, she found a paper that has my signature from a couple years back, that gives permission to get my records, but that paper was never faxed over to get my records!

This was from the first dr I saw two years ago! That dr in September of 2010 said there wasnt much he could do for me, that he thought I was having some break through seizures at the beginning of the year last year, so that was his reasoning to raise my Keppra to 4000mgs a day. That only lasted about 5 weeks, with break through seizures, feeling confused, sluggish, tired all the time, I couldnt even go for an hour without doing something around the house, and wanting to lay down again. I wouldnt go to that dr again if someone paid me to! To top it off, that dr resigned and is now chairman of the hospital! Which I say is stupid!

Anyways, the nurse said she will fax that paper over to the neurologist I see here in town, cause he has all my records, and when she gets them back, she will have the dr reivew them. I just wanted to make sure they knew my background with the times they have tried to take me off my medications and how long I went without having a seizure.

The last thing I would want to do is have the video EEG, and them try to make me off my meds and me not have a seizure. If anything, I would like for them to know my past with taking me off seizures, and if they would want me to decrease my meds before going in, thats fine. Just as long as I get some good activity for them to read!
