I just got the notice from the DMV that my license is suspended

I knew it was coming because the ER had to report the seizure I had last week to the DMV. The only part I don't get is it doesn't say how long it's suspended for. It does say I can request a hearing within 14 days. Can my Dr. still reccomend whether he feels the DMV should let me drive or not? I'm in CA. I know the laws are different in each state. It said onlone the suspension is either 3 or 6 months but the notice doesn't list the length of the suspension.

The reason it doesnt give a specified length is because it depends on the neurologist and the individual situation. They arent going to give it back to you in 6 months if your still having seizures.

My Neurologist is out of town until Monday, so I guess I'll find out more then.

Yeah probably, seeing as if your states requires that a hospital or neurologist to report to the DMV, the decision to give you license back will be up to the neurologist.

I know in Ohio at least they dont give you a date because it is 6 months from your last seizure. So I have to report all of my seizures to my Dr. so that he can tell me when I am aloud to drive again once after they are taken away.
