Hi everybody, I am new here. My child has been diagnosed with Focal onset epilepsy last December. And he has been put on Keppra 500 mg*2/daily since mid of Jan this year when the third seizure occurred. He is 12 years old. And he is a happy boy and healthy otherwise. But yesterday he had one seizure again during GYM class. School called EMS and the ER doctor told us to increase the doze to 750 ng*2/daily. I do hesitate for the increase. His specialist has not got back to me although I called her office three times and sent three emails already.

Anybody has experience for this? Many thanks. Also, I want to ask, during the 2 and half month mediacation period, he did have four times "one second lip and tongue numbness". And yesterday morning he did have light headache and "electric shot" he described in the early morning. Is this called break through seizure? Mind you, he just had two weeks spring break so his slepping pattern has been shifted a little bit.

Can anybody share your experince and knlowsge with me?

Much appreciated with you help.
Thank you.
