During my EMT training, we were also told to look for a wallet card if someone was wearing a med alert bracelet or necklace. Because sometimes either people can't afford to get them engraved or there isn't enough room to engrave what needs to be. I fit into the second category of not enough room. I keep my wallet card (normally) directly over my insurance card which is in its own little credit card slot OR over my license. This way if someone is going to look to see who I am... tada its right there. My major concern besides the E ... I have a penicillin allergy. It needs to be obvious to anyone treating me if I'm alone. Same with my brother.

That is a more suitable idea for me! Thanks. Can you make your own card or do you have it made?

I printed mine off the internet. Just remember there has to be something "on" you to flag emergency personnel to look for your wallet card.

You can even just get a bracelet that says see wallet card. I wish I could just sharpie it somewhere... makes those days I forget my bracelet a little less nerve racking

I also have Type 1 diabetes, so if I were to be found unconscious because of extremely low blood sugar, hopefully they will see my Medic Alert bracelet and call the proper doctor. http://www.medicalert.org/
