Welcome to CWE I know my seizures were rampant when I went through puberty but I never went through a phase where I had none. There are people here who have used the keto diet & neurofeedback though I'm not sure how many have used them in combination. You should be getting some responses soon. The ketogenic diet is used mostly for children though there are other diets like Modified Atkins that can help. Check out the link. There might be a diet that interests you more. http://www.coping-with-epilepsy.com/...ive-treatments

| My wife used both neurofeedback and a variation of the LGIT diet to help get her seizures under control. I would recommend trying them if you are able.

Diet Funny...my seizures went away for several years...the only clue I have as to why is I was into Natural Bodybuilding in my late teens...and was on a very restrictive diet...I went through a period (twice) as part of my preparation where I would cut carbs to nothing, as well as water for several days to look as "cut" as possible for the competitions...could this have been the reasons my seizures fled? Did I put myself in ketosis long enough? Otherwise, the only other reason might be due to being in extremely good condition? Thoughts? |

| Look here: Does tryptophan help prevent seizures? That link goes to a summary of the thread, but you might try reading the whole thread too. There are also some other members who have related their experience with seizure patterns and weight training: Weight Training

| I would look into the Modified Atkins Diet. Similar carb restriction, but doable with support from other adults doing the diet. There are a few group lists that support one another. The keto is largely done with children, and has it side effects. I am a believer in nutrition and neurofeedback. They do go hand in hand, and are giving my daughter positive results.
