Looking for a friendI'm 33 (just letting you know) and I'm looking for someone to talk to or maybe try to get together with sometime. I live in Western PA, about an hour north of Pittsburgh. All my friends live around an hour away or are alergic to cats and it's hard to get together with. My friends also work crazy hours so that makes it hard too. I can't drive because of the epileptologist so that's another thing that I have to deal with. I want to try to get together sometime and talk to with someone who understands what it's like to have epilepsy and what you have to deal with on a regular basis, my husband doesn't understand what it's like usually. He tries, but that's just not the same. If anyone out there wants to maybe try to get together sometime send me a pm and we can go from there. Hope to hear from someone! |

| Hi Valerie, Maybe there's a Pittsburgh epilepsy support group? It would be a good place to start. I hope you're not snowed in. You mid-Atlantic states got dumped on, whereas up north here we got nothin'. |

| First a word of caution. We do try to moderate this site and keep it safe. However, this is still the internet and you must be cautious. That said, you will find that many of our members form internet friendships via our private messages. Some are even from West PA. I am from Ohio, but the far west side. I have met one of our members personally at the National Walk in DC last year. That was a great experience. There may be as many as 4 of our members there this year.

| Hi Valerie! Welcome. Before I continue I must tell you that Buckeye gave you invaluable advice. Originally Posted by Buckeye :
