Low sodium and night seizures????

Has anyone here on the forum who have had night seizures thought their night seizures were related to low sodium levels as a result of their anti-epileptic drug's and/or diet?

I know a lot of my seizures occurred following several nights of drenching sweats, and when you sweat, you lose sodium. I also find myself craving salt - I salt my food and then dip whatever I'm eating in salt - pretty gross, but I crave it.

One of the anti-epileptic drug's that can cause low sodium is Trileptal. I had to be taken off that med because of low sodium.

Long-term side effects
In some patients, especially those taking higher doses of Trileptal, the level of sodium (salt) in the blood may become low (a condition called hyponatremia). Usually this is not serious, but occasionally it may increase the number of seizures that you have or cause other problems such as tiredness or dizziness. Your doctor may want to check the amount of sodium in your blood to see if this is happening to you, especially if you are having nausea, a vaguely "unwell" feeling, headache, listlessness, or confusion.

I started drinking water with sea salt in it. It has minerals in it unlike table salt. This is from one of the links I read about sodium and seizures

"If you are concerned about high blood sodium affecting your blood pressure and your seizure rate, a sensible upper sodium limit is 2.4 g per day."
