Low sodium and night seizures???? |

| I know a lot of my seizures occurred following several nights of drenching sweats, and when you sweat, you lose sodium. I also find myself craving salt - I salt my food and then dip whatever I'm eating in salt - pretty gross, but I crave it. |

| I never really thought of a connection.. but makes me wonder. I have nocturnal tonic clonic's.. forgive me if this sounds silly, but whats a good way to check your sodium level? |

| One of the anti-epileptic drug's that can cause low sodium is Trileptal. I had to be taken off that med because of low sodium. Quote :

| i have a lot of night seizures ... but not on any meds yet "they are starting them in feb" ... but i find that if i have something sweet with in an hour and a half of going to bed i always have one that night in the early hours ...around 3 am ... i know it doesnt really answer your question but just wondering if it could be a possiblilty jayde x x |
