That must be a great feeling Cazzie. To be heard, is empowering.
I do hope for your sake that you and your mum can discuss this now, and make some plans for how to improve the situation.

I wish you all the best this year in college.

I'm glad

to hear that things went well for you at your appointment today, Cazzie. I know I feel much better when they do for me. I just recently got my mom to finally LISTEN and UNDERSTAND--REALLY UNDERSTAND after 44 years of having E, so I get where you're coming from.

Good luck at school, and please keep in touch. We want to know how you're doing.

That's great, to get to see a doc, to have him listen to you, to feel like there's attention being paid and progress being made. Awesome.

For the diary, I think the idea is to record whenever you'd had a seizure -- how frequent, how intense. It's also a good idea to note details about your diet/metabolism, sleep, stress -- anything that might potentially be a factor in triggering your seizures.

Best,
Nakamova

Yes, I agree about the diary.
On Rebecca's I use a blank calendar, and I make notes of TOM, any seizure activity, changes to diet, supplements, anything at all out of the ordinary. Even if it doesn't seem to relate, you might start seeing a pattern. For ours it took a couple of years to see the pattern, yet it was easier to point this out to her doctor and get her to listen and relate to what I was saying.
