Talking Monoclonic Jerks

Does anyone know if the sudden jerks or jolts that I get are monoclonic jerks..my doctor put it in my file and wants me to increase my medicine. Does anyone else have this symptom?

Your myoclonic jerks could be normal/benign, or they could be epileptic in origin. If you have other kinds of epileptic seizures, then it's likely the jerks are also epilepsy-related. You can read more about myoclonus here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myoclonus

I often have myoclonic jerks, they range from just twitching to, what annoys my wife the most, is my legs moving. I don't even notice the legs moving until it's mentioned to me. Like when your sitting, think of when you say bounce a child on your knee, that's what I do, sometimes for hours. My neurologist has told me they're small seizures that I shouldn't worry about since they don't get worse, like say leading in to a full out seizure.
