Moods and epilepsy?

Sometimes i get into these moods i refer to as "dark and twisted" because that's the best way i can think of to describe them. They are the other side of the spectrum of moods i have and at the other end is this super hyper and happy mood where i can't stop giggling.
When i'm in the hyper type mood i drive my boyfriend and our roommate nuts because i'm just so over-the-top and when i'm in the melancholy type mood i want to go outside and stair of into space, particularly at night when the stars come out and listen to music that feeds my mood. What are some other ways people cope with these moods i wonder? I can't go outside because we live in a bad part of town and it's not safe...so i need a way to deal with the mood without upsetting the whole household which is what i've been doing lately. It would help to hear other's experiences. I am in such a mood today.

Caelyn,

It could be seizures, it could be your meds.

It sounds a little like bi-polar disorder. That is a possible side effect of several of the medications.

Seizures can cause permanent changes in the brain. Depression is the most common type of problem that is caused by that.

The dark mood - that sounds a little like some of the auras I get before a seizure. All day I'm anxious, in a dark mood, etc. Anything I do or say on those days goes horribly wrong, so I keep to myself as much as possible.

Be sure to talk this over with your neurologist, okay? He should be able to figure out what's going on and help you with this.
