My Appointment with the Neurologist.

Hey all.

Thankyou so much for your replies to my previous 2 posts.

today I saw the Neurologist and it went well.

I described my symptoms, and thankfully he seemed to understand, and take me seriously. He also seemed to know his stuff...

He is concerned I am having Complex Partial Seizures, and mentioned something about the temporal lobe.

He did a general exam in his office... checking blood pressure, reflexes, eyes etc.. everything seemed to be fine.

He has ordered some blood tests, EEG and MRI>

FOr the EEG I have to sleep deprive myself the night before, and try to take a nap while Im having it done.

After the EEG I will have the MRI done.

Due to insurance problem, wont be having the EEG for another 2 weeks. In the meantime I have been told not to drive, swim, surf, or ride a bike.

I will keep you all informed.

thanks for the support.

I glad to hear you're happy with the doctor.

It does sound like complex partial seizures, but the dr. will know after the EEg & MRI.
Please take the doc's advice and don't drive etc. and in the meantime, hang in there!

Cindy

Good for you! ...I'm glad you went to that appointment

Now, the waiting. Sometimes that's one of the hardest parts.

Just stay safe, and your two weeks will pass by quicker than you expect! I'm glad you liked the doctor; he seems to be getting right on top of things (that's a good sign because some of them don't act so quickly).

Keep us updated. -Julie
