Hi Robin

Thank you for your concern. I am feeling better now.

I have been over doing it. I am writing a poem and with all of the changes in this poem I got overstressed. Normally, when I am writing a poem, it relaxes me. I am taking a break for a while from the poem. I am in the Creative Writing Section as well.

Thanks for sharing this blog. We're also using nutrition and other natural methods for treating my son's epilepsy. I've not heard of Neurofeedback and I'm interested in researching this form of therapy. I will definitely be reading and following your blog!!!

Hi LivingFruity

I am also interested in neurofeedback and have researched it here. When you come into the middle to decide where to go, you will see a lot of things affecting epilepsy. There is a word Neurofeedback, press on that and it will take you to the research.

Welcome here and please continuing posting. We all learn that way.

Hi Robin

It is a hit for me!! I have learned a lot from it. Like the Standard American Diet by Dogtor John as well as the books:
1. Epilepsy: A New Approach by Adrienne Richard and Joel Reiter
2. A Symphony in the Brain by Jim Robbins
3. Story About Brian.

About Dogtor John being here at CWE. I can learn a lot from him and the books.

Hi Robin

I had to leave and did not get to finish my comment. All of the rashes and other side effects that you mentioned are Steven-Johnson's Syndrome. I had it when I was allergic to Dilantin when I was 6 years old. I had it with Tegretol about 3 years ago. When I was 6, my parents were told that I was going to die. That was in 1949. So I know somewhat of what you are going through. You are going through it more worse than I could ever have a nightmare about. I am sure you are going through that.

I believe a lot more people are reading your blog than what you know and are not leaving comments. I fouled up the system by leaving my real first name. As well as my gmail address. I have 3 e-mail addresses. From now on, I am going to have to leave my name I use here. My medications are not as effective as they should be.

I have had 2 STATUS EPILEPTICUS seizures. My husband was told I was going to die after each one.

Thank you Feast for your thoughtful comments.
I will put a stat counter on the site to see where the interest comes from
As far as names... I use my full name on many sites and have not had any trouble. I put my email on most sites I belong to, and have only had questions or responses to my work.

I am glad that you have learned from Rebecca's story. That is my reason for writing it.

Hi Robin

Maybe, I should have used my real name when I first came to CWE. The problem was my name and the fact that I have more than one e-mail address. I am all for neurofeedback.

I was going through different stories when I stumbled across yours. Just recently I developed an issue with itchiness and rashes. The more I scratch the itchier it gets. I went to see a doctor but was seen by a head nurse. I was told to take Benadryl for allergies. Here it is 5 days later and I still itch. Next I'm going to tell my neurologist. Hopefully I can get it under control. I currently take Dilantin, Keppra, Lamictal and Clonapin.

Kardsharque-
Contact your neurologist immediatley. I just started on Lamictal and STRESSED being aware of a rash. It could be an allergic reaction to the meds.
Becareful.

I think you should consider looking at it from the inside out.
If your liver is not processing the toxins correctly they get dumped back into the bloodstream. Then your body attacks them as invaders and throws your immune system out of wack.
You might also consider looking at your nutrition. If your body has too many challenges it goes into overload mode and again you have allergy symptoms.

Hi KARDSHARQUE

I have had Steven-Johnson's Syndrome 2 time. Believe me I do not think allergy pills will work. First, I had it with Dilantin, next with Tregretol XR.

I am not saying it is Dialantin. Most people can handle Dilantin.

Call your neurologist right away!!
