My new inspiration (6th grader)

I have the video about Tina's life on YouTube and recently I was contacted by a girl that will be in 6th grade about the video. She let me know that she knows Nicole, she had helped her learn to skate at school. She told me how happy it made her when Nicole would come up and give her hugs.
These are the first messages she sent me"

"im srry about yur lost but i didnt know that nichoal had it to i know nichoal from school last year she would come up to me after school and talk to me and give me hugs"

"could u please ask nichole if she rembers aleyha its hard to pronounce i know ive know nichole for a while when i was in 4th grade i knew her man now knowing that im just so sad i mean she is the best i luved being with her she was like my little buddy"

I did tell her that not everyone dies from Epilepsy. I then received a message from a young man that also knows Nicole.
Here is his first message:

"Last year we had to help the kinder gardeners rollerskate and i got to Help nicole thats how i met her and every time she saw me in the hallway she would always run up and hug me but now im sad because im going to a different school next year so i wont be able to see her :'( But it is the one next door to her so it is like not to far away.
"

Since his first message he has been contacting me frequently on YouTube. He has sent me videos that he thinks could relate to Epilepsy. I will be using these songs on my next videos. I have realized that now he has a passion for helping people with Epilepsy.
Here is his latest message:

"Thanks for the kind message. I can see why people with epilepsy can be depressed. Like nobody will ever understand. I started to try to get involved with epilepsywhen my friend amanda called and was like crying saying" well i wached this video on youtube about epilepsy and how people can die from it" she was worried something would happen to nicole because she had helped nicole skate to so thats how she knows her. so it made me want to help.
"

He had sent me Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles because he thought people with Epilepsy might feel lonely. This young man is so awesome.

Well.... you just brought tears to my eyes....

Some kids are just the best. How do they get so smart?
I am really impressed by your two new friends, Laura. Give them both a Hi-Five from CA.

In today's world when you see kids even at this age being disrespectful and rebellious, it makes me so happy to know that there are kids out there that care about others and not just themselves. I will give them a Hi-Five for you Robin.

Laura, yes indeed they seem to be a rarity these days, and even adults too.
I read about your daughter, and watched the video. I can only imagine what this has been like for you, and so sorry for what youve been through, and your loss. I loved the way you put the video together, and the way you celebrate your daughters life, it is beautiful, only word for it.
I am guessing you are raising your grandaughter? What a blessing she must be in your life! I wish, as we all do, that more people, especially children growing up these days had such feelings, understanding and love in their hearts for others. Lets solute those parents raising these children as well!
And you are one of them!!!!

JLynn-
My husband and I adopted Nicole, her biological father has never seen her. The man that she calls Daddy was with Tina since she was 2 months pregnant. He is still a huge part of her life, she visits him every other weekend and whenever he calls and wants to take her. I give him a lot of credit because he could've walked away after Tina's death, but he loves Nicole so much. We had to have the biological fathers parental rights revoked before we could adopt her. We were told that if just had guardianship, the biological father could come and take her at anytime. We decided that this would just be devastating to Nicole.

Nicole looks like Tina also. By having Nicole here, I still have a piece of Tina here with me all the time.

Thank you for the compliment, but I raise my children the way I was raised. I was raised to accept people for who they are. There was a lot of love when I was growing up, and I am a hugger.
