Hi :)
Was woken the other night with a loud popping noise in my head, l felt a bit anxious upon waking but otherwise ok. I did have a strange dream proceeding the popping where a light bulb was smashed - then the loud popping noise startled me awake. This has never happened before, has anyone ever experienced something like this?

Hey, maybe a form of something called 'exploding head syndrome' which sounds scary but it's completely harmless, just an example of the weird stuff your brain does when you're in certain sleep cycles :)
 
I have what I think is exploding head syndrome. I am startled awake always thinking it's a loud gunshot.
