Question about cost of Topamax on part d

After years of paying in, I am now temporarily on medicare. I signed up for part D thinking I would save money. I now realize that I have been overpaying for Topiramate. I was paying $472.99 for 90 100mg tablets. That's $5.25 per for generic. Has anyone else ran into this. What is the fix?
