| Hmm... i think most medications get dissolved through the stomach wall, but i'm not too sure.

| The diarrhea could cause dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and/or the presence of an infection -- all of which can lower seizure threshold. In terms of meds and the gut, it depends on how the meds are absorbed. Different meds are absorbed at different rates, and are sensitive to different influences. Zonegran for instance is one that you're not supposed to eat with grapefruit. |

| Just an FYI, I was told by my sleep Dr that it is Calcium and Magnesium that you lose if you have diarrhea. Obviously both Calcium and Magnesium can help prevent seizures. |
