Report from Neuro

Hi everyone.

I got the report from the neurologist unit at Kings College Hospital.

No brain damage on the MRI, PET result not availiable.

EEG showed abnormal activity in the left temporal lobe and right frontal lobe while I sleep (I have all my grand mal seizures when waking up).

Because I had no seizures while in the telemetry unit I'll have to go back in again (I'm so glad I bought a laptop) for another video EEG. So boring.

A few revelations for the psychotherapy. Things were fine until I had a flashback (PTSD, sexual abuse at school) in 2004, then at that point I started having a massive increase in anxiety attacks (social anxiety disorder) which started originally aged 13 as a result of being physically and verbally abused walking home from school on a regular basis, then vanished, only to reappear after the flashback, about 18 years later.

It's amazing the things you forget that suddenly pop into your head.

Hopefully this might help make some progress as things are at a dead end at the moment.

Makes it kind of hard walking down the street, as eye contact can trigger depersonalisation or paranoia attacks, even walking past people talking.

Not much else to say... had 10 seizures in one day the other month, 4 tonic clonic and 6 complex partial. Fell out of bed and knackered my left shoulder in the process and now have tendonitis.

Had my 36th birthday, my cousin is going to turn 40 on the 25th so a few beers then, my sister is pregnant (14 weeks i think)... not much else... thinking of buying a new PC to play Warhammer Online, a Dell maybe, as my current PC is 2.5 years old and i'm bored totally of World of Warcraft.

Ermmm... Theo Walcott scored a hattrick for England , Arsenal spanked Blackburn Rovers 4-0...

Nothing else.

How's life treating you people?

Hi Torak, nice to see you again.

So, you most likely are not a candidate for brain surgery.

My wife's seizure pattern was like this once - 99% of seizure activity upon waking from a night's sleep.

Did they test for sleep apnea while they had you there?

Sounds like there are options open to you if you want to be proactive.
