Sasha update

HI all. Since Sasha'a last seizure, her neurologist is putting her on Topamax and we have an appointment for video EEG march 5-10 in San Diego. We are slowly weaning her off the Keppra. So far it's been a week of Topamax, and she's a bit aggressive and we've noticed that she can't remember things like the words to songs, names of characters or is mispronouncing words. I'm attributing it to the addition of new meds and once her body adjusts, she will hopefully be back to her self. Please keep your fingers crossed for us....

Hello again!

Yes - she's going through what they call
a "honeymoon phase" when the body begins
to become adjusted to the new anti-epileptic drug and
as the medication becomes titrated. And
indeed it can be very trying for everyone.
And we will keep our fingers crossed that
it will all work out!
