seizures two nights in a row, argh!

I haven't had a tonic clonic in a while, the last "major" seizure I had was in February, but it wasn't a full on tonic clonic.

Yesterday I woke up with a bruise on my eye socket, my left hip, my left shin and some minor carpet burn. Today I woke up with a chewed tongue and feeling like crap again. Whilst brushing my teeth I also remembered I reeeeaaalllyyyy need to purchase some alcohol free mouthwash. (ouch!)

Is it normal to not have a seizure for ages and then just to have two out of the blue? I've still been having partials but I've pretty much stopped counting them now.

Hi Lou.
Sorry to read about your seizures. I very rarely have tonic clonics but I think it can be common to go ages without having a tonic clonic then suddenly have one again.
Are you going to get in contact with your neurologist & let them know what happened?
Oh I been meaning to ask, any news on when you have the appt with the neuropsych?

I don't think there's much point in contacting the neurologist and in any case he's nearly impossible to get hold of. I was talking to my nurse last week however because I'm worried about side effects of Tegretol, mainly swollen ankles, weight gain and sleeping too much. I feel exhausted today, after posting this thread earlier I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour. No mean feat considering I have noisy builders upstairs and two squawking parakeets in my living room!

When i was talking to the nurse she said that I appeared to have "slipped through the net" (again!) With regards to my appointments and she would Chase them up and i should hear within a week. I'm thinking about changing neurologist to the hospital near where I live.

Oh Lou, I'm sorry about the two t-cs. I assume there were no obvious triggers. Maybe it was cumulative -- had you been tired or stressed over the past week?

I've had the usual work stress over last weekend but I've been off work since tues (so this is my 3rd day off). I wonder if it might be because I've had extremely noisy builders in the flat above me so I haven't been able to get my snooze in the afternoon. I've been feeling generally run down for a while now though.

Ach. Will definitely be getting an early night tonight. It's currently 5pm and I want to sleep but have my dad coming round for dinner >.<

My arms and legs feel so tired and heavy! I'm off to bed -at the late hour of 9pm lol- and hoping for a peaceful nights sleep tonight.

How'd you sleep? Are you feeling any better? Maybe you should invest in some earplugs or headphones to screen out noise.

Slept a good solid 12 hours last night and had a 4 hour snooze today, feeling much better! Was making my bed up with clean sheets and stuff last night and felt like my arms had gone to jelly lol. I've tried ear plugs and stuff before but couldn't sleep with them in. Hopefully the builders will be finished soon, but then it will be time for new neighbours, eek lol!
