Sodium Chloride Deficiency

I have a sodium deficiency because of one of my meds. I take Dilantin and Trileptal. If you know which one it is, I would appreciate it. If anyone else has this problem and can suggest different things to eat or drink that would be great.I've gone through pickles, green olives, and now eating pepperoni. Thanks.

I do believe

the offender is Trileptal. There is another thread that has this topic somewhere in the forum, but I can't remember the name of it at the moment, but I don't remember if the thread was dedicated to it or not. But I do remember that the person who was talking about the problem was named Ziggidypoo........

Actually, check out this set of links.........

http://www.coping-with-epilepsy.com/...searchid=56726

Magnesium

Try using the Search option up on the right hand side of the screen and see if that will help you... Sorry I am not being much more help at the moment.

The other thing you might want to do is go to www.drugs.com and look both those drugs up for that particular problem. I don't remember ever having that problem when I was on Dilantin, and I was on it for 35 years.....

Take care,

Meetz
