Suggestions

I've been trying to think of ways to raise funds for my local Epilepsy Foundation chapter during November's Epilepsy Awareness Month.

Here are the ideas I've come up with so far...

An informal dinner where each person is asked to bring a $25 check to donate to The Epilepsy Foundation...

A yard sale...where the proceeds go to your favorite epilepsy cause...

A tea party, (high tea?) where guests are invited to tea and asked to bring a donation for epilepsy research...

A virtual winetasting where participants can stay home and pop a cork of their best wine, donating the cost of the wine they drink to The Epilepsy Foundation...

What do you think? Got any more ideas?

How about

a walk? You know, around a local track or predetermined route?

You might combine the yard sale or the supper with a bake sale. Apple pies for epilepsy! (It's apple season here, so I've got apple pie on the brain).

If there's a bowling alley nearby, you could raise money through a bowling party. Some of the alleys in my neck of the woods have been happy to collaborate with non-profits this way. Either participants pay extra for the games, with the profits going to the cause, or the alley is provided for a night of "disco bowling" and the cover charge goes to to the cause.

Oy. I can't even cook, no less bake. But the bowling alley idea is brilliant...just not too geographically desirable... THANKS!!!
