Temporal Lobe or Psychogenic?

I have new seizures as an adult that started slowly four months ago. My upper body jerks/shakes real hard just a few seconds now two or three times a day. I do usally get a headache afterwards now sometimes with slight word confusion sometimes smelling burnt peanuts. As a child I had tonic clonic seizures that started in my right temporal lobe and occasionally frontal lobe but would then genralize. Now however I also have Major Deprssion and PTSD from childhood abuse and current chronic pain from a birth defect. The worse jerk a few weeks ago popped my neck so loud that other church members heard it.

I get inpatient EEG next month wondering if I should give up driving for now. Recent MRI was mostly clear with some very light scarring from an head injury as a toddler (but doc was losing his voice so I don't know where yet).
Thanks,

John

Do the shakes interfere with safe driving? Does your word confusion also make it confusing to drive? Are your seizures escalating in frequency, or becoming more severe? Is anxiety or stress about driving making things worse?

If you answered yes to one or more of the above, then giving up driving is something to consider.
