The trembling/shaking feelings I've been having have been getting worse and more frequent. (I presume these to be partial seizures). I'm now getting trembling feelings in my face and body quite frequently mostly when I lay down for a nap or sleep, and also an annoying eye twitch on and off during the day. When it happens in my leg or back it feels like I'm sitting in a vibrating massage chair. Prior to these my only seizures were visions, dizziness and deja vu. I'm also so, so tired and having 2-3 hour sleeps during the day. I'm also waking up feeling very sick and nauseous.

I'm concerned I still have to wait six weeks to see my specialist and I'm wondering if I should just increase my medication in the mean time. I'm worried I'll end up having a more serious seizure.

I'm wondering if others actually ask to speak to their doctor about such things in between appointments? The last time I saw him I was doing so well so we just booked the yearly check up. I did manage to get an earlier appointment but I think it's not real good I have to wait so long feeling so sick.

Any advice is appreciated.

I would see your G.P about it, they may be able to increase your medication or they may contact your neurologist. I frequently see my doctor about my seizures between seeing the neurologist. Your doctor can also check there isn't anything else causing those symptoms

Sometimes shakiness/tremors can be side effects of medication, and can even start weeks after a dose increase. Have you changed dose recently or started a new medication? Everyone is different, but just as an example I've had side effects show up as late as 6 months after being on a medication.

Definitely give your GP and/or neuro a call. But don't make any changes to your meds without checking in with them first. And keep a journal (if you don't already) documenting the symptoms/side effects. You may be able to spot a pattern that will help you figure out what's going on. make a note of anything else in your life that might be playing a contributing role (stress, fatigue, changes in diet, illness, etc.). I occasionally get the annoying eye twitch, but in my case it's unrelated to seizures or meds. It happens when I'm stressed out t work and have to spend too much time in front of the computer...

Thanks everyone. I rang my neurologist's office again and luckily had also just received a request from the licensing board to have a yearly review for my drivers licence, so when I mentioned I need that asap they fit me in for 10 days time. Thank goodness.

I do make notes on my phone when I have a bad night or symptoms. They are definitely worse when I change my sleep routine, get overtired or do too much computer work. The eye twitch is multiple times a day but I have been doing lots of reports so that could be it. I got a lot of rest over the weekend and felt much better, then sick again this week once I started working again. I really need to realise my limitations now.

Now I am worried about a favourable review from the neurologist so I can keep my licence. I want to make sure I'm safe though.
