| It happens. One moderator on my site has to have her unit replaced about every 15 months because of the high settings. A good neurologist will keep an eye on the battery life. Should you show any sudden changes in your seizures get to the dr. asap and have the unit evaluated.

| I think my neurologist said that mine would last somewhere around 5 years, but as someone else mentioned, it depends on how strong your implant is set. If it is at a higer setting than it will use more than it would at a lower setting. |
