Vomiting...and seizures?

I woke up this morning, and suddenly, out of a deep sleep, I had memory problems and began to vomit. Is vomiting a symptom of seizures? My memory problems were so severe that I showered and put my dirty clothes back on, forgeting that they were vomited on and dirty, so now I have to shower again...

What an awful way to start your morning I am so sorry that you have had this happen. I sometimes am quite sick to my stomach after seizures. It is possible that could be the reason. As far as the memory issue, I have that as well. I will be in the shower and can't remember if I have washed my hair or not, so there are days when I end washing it several times Do you ever find that you are not sure what you will see when you open the door? You know what is supposed to be there, but somehow now you aren't sure? I hope you start to feel better soon

It could be abdominal epilepsy: http://www.webmd.com/epilepsy/abdomi...ren-and-adults

Thanks for the input...it definitely was a seizure. I've had several funny taste in my mouth-dizzy spell 'episodes' this morning...like 3 or 4 of them so far.

With the vomiting episode, however, I don't remember feeling nauseous as all. I was fast asleep, woke up coughing, and then bam...I vomited all over my hair and sheets.

Then when I was in the shower later, though it took me a while afterwards to 'remember' (20 minutes or so), I do remember having a funny taste-dizzy spell in the shower...probably why I never dried off and put my dirty clothes back on, only to realize later, when I noticed my hair was still wet and tangled and my shirt was wet, that I had never dried off and was wearing dirty clothes.

I don't know what meds you are on, but when I go into my "cycle", my Lamictal level drops. My first clue is that I wake up and am immediately nauseous. And then promptly puke.

My neurologist has started having me take extra Lamictal during that time period.

My memory is always annoying, but every so often it gets ridiculous.Vomiting for no reason has happened to me although I still cannot figure out if it was part of seizure or just after.I wasnt really nauseous enough to vomit but i knew it was coming and would turn to sink or garbage can.But my so-called symptoms of seizures seem so varied and changeable that its hard to predict.does anyone else have such different things happen? how in the world do you know youve had a seizure if you dont even know what you are looking for?Not to mention my mind is always focussed on my kids, never myself

I'm not on any meds right now...just had my 72-hour EEG last week. Gosh I wish I had been hooked up to the EEG that night/morning. It was horrible. That was my last seizure, so I'm due here again soon.

I've never heard of abdominal epilepsy. My doctors have never discussed it with me or maybe they don't know, but one of my aura is stomach cramping and gurgling noises, it usually wakes me up and I'm found unconscious on the floor. I don't remember what happened for like like 5 minutes or longer. My first tonic clonic happened when I was alone and I hit my head and was unconscious for over an hour. Thanks for the info, I will have to ask my doc at my next appointment.
