Weird Smell Not Aura?

I had a seizure on Tuesday Morning tonic-clonic type, after not having one for four years with no medication. Was on computer all night up for around 24 hours, likely insomnia caused, had to finish a project. Also have ADD so Adderall didn't help but thats beside the point.

My question is this ever since I have had the seizure whenever I go outside I smell like a weird smell. This has never happened before, and I never get Auras before seizures did something change in my brain when I had the seizure?

The smell is awful too it actually smells kind of like that cheesing smell cats do. I should also point out its only outside, and its everywhere and seems I am the only one who smells it. Asked multiple people in multiple places.

It seems to me if it was a change in your brain, you would have the weird smell inside as well as outside. Sometimes I have those weird smells before a migraine but no matter where I go, inside or out, I still smell it. Maybe you're more sensitive to odors than others & there really is some kind of weird smell outside.

It could be a smell aura that you've developed, but it might just be a temporary symptom. See if you can "re-route" your brain where the smell is concerned. Have you tried masking the smell by taking a whiff of something else fairly strong, like jasmine or menthol? You can use scented chapstick for a longer-term effect.

Whatever reason it went away tonight. Strange.

Here a thought. Could your weird smell be a consequence of photosensitive epilepsy and sleep deprivation?

Ended up just attributing it to the beginnings of hallucinations from insomnia. I guess technically when that starts to happen its technically a aura because if I stay up any longer I probably will have a seizure..
